The Keys to Success in College

Here are some more suggestions that create success for students attending college for the first time.

1. Show respect in class. Be on time. Silence your phone. Participate in discussions.
2. Learn to write well. Use AI such as ChatGPT as a guide, not copy verbatim and submit as your own.
3. Studying is your #1 priority. Academics come first.
4. Grades are important. “C’s get degrees” is NOT true. Potential employers will ask about your GPA.
5. Networking is everything. Connections you make with your professors and internships will lead to career opportunities when you graduate.
